  1. Do students wear uniforms?
    Yes, all students are required to be in full uniform. Uniforms are purchased through a designated company (3K Uniforms) and can be ordered online. Visit the "Warriors" menu to order.

  2. Do you have a cafeteria where my child can buy lunch?
    Yes! We have our very own Campus Kitchen, where students may purchase food before school, during breaks, at lunch, and after school until 4:00 PM. The Campus Kitchen offers a variety of menu items, including a daily lunch special for $4.50

    A detailed monthly lunch menu is available here under the "Knight Life" menu, and you can view their regular menu items and pricing by clicking here.

    Students eat lunch outdoors at one of the many shaded patio areas around campus. During inclement weather (including extreme heat), the school gymnasium is open for lunch.

  3. How much is tuition this year (2011-12)?
    $8,250.00 payable in 10 monthly installments of $825.00 each.

  4. Do you offer scholarships for families in need?
    Yes, you are welcome to apply for Grant in Aid. Your application will be considered once your student is accepted. You can apply to LAB online by visiting our website at www.labaptist.org and clicking on the "Admissions" menu.

  5. What is the maximum Grant-in-Aid your school offers?
    50% is the maximum grant ever given. The amount of the grant depends on availability and qualification.

  6. Do you have chapels for the students?
    Yes! The entire student body meets once a week (usually on Tuesdays) for Chapel.

    Weekly Chapel programs include: time of worship, spiritual instruction, guest speakers, sharing of testimonies and inspirational music and drama programs.

  7. What sports does Heritage offer?
    BOYS' ATHLETICS

    Middle School Boys' teams compete in an athletic league with an annual schedule of flag and tackle football, basketball, and track meets. At the beginning of each season, the coach announces sign-ups and try-outs for boys desiring to compete. Practice sessions and games are held after school.

    Senior High Boys' teams compete in the Southern Section CIF competition. Each prospective athlete must be eligible under CIF rules to compete. HCS fields teams in Varsity/J.V. Football; Varsity/J.V. Cross Country; Varsity/J.V./Frosh/Soph Basketball; Varsity/Soph/Frosh Track; Varsity/J.V. Baseball; Varsity/J.V. Soccer; Varsity Volleyball and Golf (when there is sufficient interest). Boys desiring to compete should contact the appropriate coach for information. Practice sessions are held after school.

    GIRLS' ATHLETICS

    Middle School Girls' field teams in an athletic league competing in basketball, softball, volleyball and track. At the beginning of each season the coach will publicize sign-up and try-out dates. Practice sessions and games are held after school hours.

    Senior High Girls' teams compete in the Southern Section CIF competition. Each prospective athlete must be eligible under CIF rules to compete. The competition includes Varsity/J.V. Volleyball; Varsity Soccer; Cross Country; Varsity/J.V. Basketball; Varsity/J.V. Softball; Track, Tennis and Golf (when there is sufficient interest). Girls desiring to compete should contact the appropriate coach for information. Practice sessions are held after school.

    Senior High Cheerleading – Girls interested should contact the Coach through the Athletic Office for application information. Tryouts and orientation sessions are held in the spring. It is mandatory that each cheer candidate and at least one parent be in attendance at an announced Parent Meeting. This meeting will be announced over the P.A. system and will appear on the HCS web site. In the event that this meeting is missed, the candidate may be denied the opportunity to try out for the cheer team. Any exception to the required parent attendance must be approved by the athletic director prior to the parent meeting.

  8. Are students permitted to leave campus during the school day?
    No, LAB is a closed campus during the school day.

    Please note, the student parking lot (off Kinzie Street) is locked promptly at 8:00 AM. All pedestrian entrances are also locked for the duration of the school day.

    Visitors may enter via the pedestrian gate off Woodley Avenue, adjacent to the school offices and visitor parking lot (just south of Lassen Street on Woodley Avenue). All visitors are required to stop in the Main Office to check in. A visitor's pass will be issued and must be worn at all times.

  9. How many students are accepted to a four year University?
    We have consistently been seeing an 86 to 90 percent acceptance rate to a four year University. 97% of graduating seniors are attending college after graduation.

    Every year, many of our graduates are accepted to numerous UC's, Elite Private Universities, as well as to many California State Universities and private Christian Universities.

  10. What Religion classes do students take?
    Religion classes are a regular part of each student's daily program at Los Angeles Baptist Middle School & High School. The student is guided carefully through the entire Bible in a coordinated seven-year program.

    Grade 6 - Heroes of the Faith

    Grade 7 - Overview of the Old Testament

    Grade 8 - Overview of the Gospels

    Grade 9 - Study of the Book of Acts/James/Titus

    Grade 10 - An inductive study of Book of Mark/Hermeneutics, Cults

    Grade 11 - Study of Ephesians/World Religions

    Grade 12 - Apologetics/Christian Marriage and Family
