  2. When do students begin to meet with college counselors?
College Counselors begin meeting with students in 9th grade. They connect them with Naviance, a college web-based program, which assists in gathering valuable information about Universities throughout the nation by using just one site. A career assessment is given in 9th grade, as well as in 11th grade, to assist in directing them toward majors they should consider for college. Counselors meet one on one with students in 10th - 12th grades. They also conduct college information night meetings and financial aid information meetings throughout the school year.
