Message:   I'd just like to congratulate Hillingdon Council, TfL and whoever is responsible for the "improvements" made to the alley behind the Barn Hotel.
Prior to this work it was a leafy, quiet lane with few incidents of crime or anti-social behaviour. Under the guise of making it safer the Council have paved over the entire thing to resemble a crime scene one might see in Hayes or Uxbridge.
In the 5 DAYS since the work was completed the ammount of graffiti has quadrupled, it's littered with cider cans and broken glass, it smells of urine and vomit and it's become the number one local hotspot for under age drinking. I had the misfortune to walk through there the other evening (around 5.30 pm) and the second I turned the corner I felt as though I'd walked into one of those "lets kick a human being to death" parties that young people are so fond of these days. There was spitting, smoking, music blaring from mobile phones, 13 year old girls dressed as *****s being manhandled by 17 year old boys etc etc. I felt like a homosexual black polish jew who's just walked into a BNP meeting. Needless to say I cast a few filthy looks, tutted a bit and went about my business.
So I'd just like to say thanks to whoever decided that rrdeveloping the alley was a good idea, you're doing a bang up job of "making London safer"!
