I don't think I have any secrets but what seemed to work for us was DB's and the Rangley special with silver back was the best. The water was high and discolored. We caught most salmon between 16-30' and in the deeper water.
Colan and I also caught our biggest salmon trolling shiners we caught in the lake at same depths at a speed of about 1.8 MPH.
On the hardware we trolled at 2.5-2.8 for best results....faster than we usually go on Winni.
Also lead core with long leaders seemed to work better, so we were dropping back 50' or so on the riggers with good results.

Must be something in the water down there. My wife is the same way. Won't get out with me all that often when we're at our camp in Rangeley, black flies, ticks, cold, wet you name it but she sure did enjoy herself in Key Biscayne (see report). She grew up in your town so it must be the water. They always blame it on the water there right?
