When fishing the coast:
We were informed to stay off Channel 12 a couple of years ago by the Coast Guard; that channel 12 is reserved emergency channel.

Channel 12 is for ports and harbors and and marina use, such as pump outs and fuel. also you can find the harbor master on that channel. emergency channel is 16. R.R.
