Sebago Report UGHHHHHHH LOL

Well no softball this weekend (Thank God LOL Just kidding) so off to sebago we went took along one of Rob's friends on the boat, day started off slower then usual on sebago (possibly due to the weather???????) marked a ton of fish down in the 90's but couldn't get them to touch any lures UGHHHHHH getting frustrated now LOL Since it was pretty overcast first thing this morning decided to try my new DB smelt the one that looks like the guide but its yellow with blk dots/copper back instead of orng/blk/copper back, the minute i put it on Bang 1st fish almost a 4lb laker Gave the rod to the new guy and it was like watching 4 yr old kid Haven't seen a guy that excited since i caught my big laker on the Yo Adrien LOL trolled some more and then Mother nature decided to smack us with a crazy thunderstorm pretty dam scarry if i do say so myself UGHHHHHHH takes alot to freak me out but this storm even scared me LOL after 15 minutes it went by Thank God, Right after this and the rain stopped Wham there goes the rigger again Wow this is a bigger fish Ahhh me being the nice guy I tell the new guy Go Ahead Grab it and reel I thought he got excited the first time!!!!!!!! You should have seen him when this bad boy started pulling and tugging LMAO Ended up being shy of 6 lbs by 2 ounces and the guy was thrilled. Died down completely and managed only 1 more fish after that one a small 19" salmon that fought like crazy, considering it wasn't a stockie I released the natural producer to grow bigger for next time. Slow day to say the least but at least we didn't get skunked and it was nice to see a new guy catch the biggest fresh water fish he's ever got. Pretty sure I spoke with Fishless for a quick few minutes before the storm but once the storm came in I said I'm putting the antenna down cause I don't feel like glowing LMAO. Tried to go see Rick@BBW on Sat. but he must have been on the river fishing or eating up in errol Left him a note on the picnic table so he didn't think I was a snob LMAO Take Care God Bless and Tight Lines LOL Dave From up NOrth

Dave, you had a better outing than I did a week ago. I will be heading up on Wed. with the family for a week. I dont have access to internet so if you, Ilucas or Fishlessman are up there during that time or anyone else for that matter, give me a shout on channel 12.
or my cell (603)321-7175.
Tight lines, Bob

Re: Re: Sebago Report UGHHHHHHH LOL

will be there thursday night and fishing fri thru the weekend if i can get parts for the kicker back on thu night. lost a seal on the lower end and shut things down hopefully before any damage was done. this is definatly the year that everything goes wrong on the boat, trouble free since i got it in 92 but this year everything seems to need work

Re: Sebago Report UGHHHHHHH LOL

Dave,
Where did you fish?? I was in your favorite area on Saturday and went 19 for 28. Nothing big but steady action for my father and my Uncle. The state must have just stocked the lake. I caught 3 small salmon around 10". Had 1 fish break off... seemed to me that rangeley db is turning out to be the go to color up there for me.

Re: Re: Sebago Report UGHHHHHHH LOL

Good report Dave,

4lb & 6lb lakers add some excitment on the boat for sure.

That is a scary lake when those storms pop up, no where to hide when your on the main lake!

Bunkee might be up wed or thursday for the day if everything goes right. We are renting from july 26 to aug 2 over by panther marine this year, trying a different area, wife loves it there (alot of shopping close by OUCH!!!!)

Re: Sebago Report UGHHHHHHH LOL

we didnt catch anything but lakers until about 1 ocklock, got desparate and decided to fish the big 300 foot hole. then we got into the salmon. had the riggers down 95 feet and they were popping on the sliders. not like saterday at all, salmon everywhere around the northwest river. that stoem came in quick and hard, not many places to hide out there.

Re: Re: Sebago Report UGHHHHHHH LOL

Fishless was that you that I talked on the radio?????? wasn't quite sure if it was you or not LOL Yeah that storm def. came in Quick WOW all I'm glad about is that We didn't get hit by lighting bolts UGHHHHHHh and the waves didn't get too bad (Thank God LOL) and yup we were right in the middle of the big old lake LOL. I also heard from another guy on the docks that Sat. was much better fishing then sunday. Oh well that's why they call it fishing and not catching LMAO Plus we still caught a couple and had fun (besides the storm LOL) Funny thing is for some reason or other the Rangely special is the only lure I didn't try LOL (that is the pink/silver copper back one right????? Yeah I am french LOL) Had some jerks on jet skis over in Standish launch that kept making waves like crazy right at the docks It was pretty miserable getting the boat to the docks with all those waves, Thought the guy with us was gonna knock em out LOL Finally they left but it was quite the task to keep The Tubb from bouncing on the docks. Hopefully be back next weekend Or maybe On the 4th if we can LOL Take care God Bless and Tight Lines LOL Dave From up North (Who's still searching for my monster salmon LOL)
