New brick jobs are covered with effloresence.They clean the surface with muratic acid,which netralizes the PH and then spray a sealer on it to keep it from happening again.We used to acid wash some of the lime finish jobs we did years ago that had the color in them.If they were rained on before they were dry it would get real bad.From what I have seen,it usually will not go away on its own(on lime finish stucco that is). |
