Message:   I don't know what company you work for but I have never seen a stucco contractor have to come back unless there is an actual hole to patch. The call back argument is definitely the wrong argument to use in terms of who's responsibility it is to seal the sealant joints. Try this one on for size and I think it will be met with a little less resistance. It is the painters job to seal the sealant gaps around the windows and anywhere that stucco abuts a dissimilar material. The painter caulks everything else(or is supposed to) on the house so why wouldn't he seal the sealant joints. Here is another one. Where do they sell caulks and sealant's, The stucco store? I don't think so, at least I didn't see any the last time I was in one. Ah but alas! I was in the paint store today and what do you think I saw? A whole $hit to of caulks and sealant's, right next to the caulk guns. So the next time you have a builder who is trying to bull dog you into seal the sealant joints, tell him to hire a competent painter who knows what to do and how to do it. Then wish him luck. Hey just a thought, maybe you should take this whole thing as a compliment, in other words maybe your builder has more confidence in you than the painter. p.s. The builder doesn't know if they sell sealant at your supplier or not.
