Ahhhh lovely masonite siding, make that over a Celotex substrate and youd have the reason I'm haunting this forum about the why and how to do stucco right.
I own the amazing disinigrating house, the walls cant keep out a determined mouse much less spiders, ants, squirrels or dust. The one thing you can say good about them however is that in a dry climate (Front Range, Colorado) they just soak up the water like a sponge.
well till the disinigrate that is
At least its a kiln dried fir framing. (70's) Its a small house and Im trying as much as possible to revert back to older turn of the century construction practises (solid wood roof decking w\ slate and a stucco & (real) random ashlar sandstone exterior)
But its the mixing of technologies\building practices that has me concerned. |
