Dunkirk 2-0 Pelican

DFC met BPFC for the 3rd time this season.Changes ahoy in both playing and non-playing fields.Scott"1 hamstring"Pratt returned from his beasting from NFFC physio Gary Fleming to take his place in midfield, while Clint.D slotted in at no2 in place of "the virus"who was.......i dont know why...probably missed his bus!!while cocky went back into Dancer's no5 shirt to restart his partnership with the skip!!Evo also came back from suspension to start up front and Quinny(starting to resemble a pot noodle!)also lived up to his current reputation of returning for the big games and accompinied Pratt in midfield.
Off the field Harby was absent due to another operation on his troublsome knee,Wayne took the reins for yet another ga.......hang on...sorry...wayne was at Center Parcs so Ian"jose"Lowe stepped up to run the show along with Mark"in and out of retirement"harby, with coach rigley returning late after finishing off re-pointing a wall!!!

After 10/15 minutes Clint decicded to copy me from the Prims game and went off from a reoccurance of his knee injury that kept him out the other week.much to the annoyance of his 3 travelling "fans"who had come from as far a-field as Awsworth and Cotmynay!!!they wanted their money back as it was "A pound a minute!!"Rumour has it clint just wanted to have a pint and couldnt be bothered to play!!!(only joking CD!)then 15 minutes Scott Pratt was replaced by greg"too many bookings"whatnall after another re-occurance of his hamstring injury that cut short his last appearance v.BPFC.

BPFC had the better chances,ex-boatman frawls skimming the post after giving me "the eyes"!!ex-boatman jefferies pulling his shot wide of the same post.In a laps of concentration DFC went ahead through Tyrone, after a lovely cross from Danny Blanch from the right ty cooly volleyed it past stanno...1-0.(h/t)
2nd half was back to a typical derby with tackles flying in all over the place.BPFC were given a free kick on the edce of the box and andy"the eyes"frawley tried to do a "Ryan Giggs" and took a quick one which had me scampering across the goal-line to turn it away for a corner.
Greg became the 3rd person to go off due to an old injury, being replaced by Big Jack whose goal seperated the 2 teams during the last encounter.
BPFC also hit the post through ex-boatman Gadsby which left the "darkside" holding their heads in their hands.
As the game was looking to be another 1-0,Big Jack picked up the ball from a goal-kick,and with the shouts of "keep it...in the corners!!!"decided to knock a sublime ball(with everyone thinking "what the f@~k you doin!!!") to evo who brought stanno off his line to slip it under the advancing keeper and wrap up the game...2-0.(Great ball jack!!!!)

Another good team performance from DFC,with special mentions to Danny.B,cocky,benny-boy-moore,quinnton and last but by no means least our kid.who did what was needed and got the victory and put us into the semi final.the game might of been deemed "too big" for hoss face but he got 1 over on churchill.and was still buzzin on wednesday night!
And was worthy off the shouts coming from the home dressing room of..........

LOWIE IN,MANNERS OUT....LOWIE IN,MANNERS OUT!!

Re: Dunkirk 2-0 Pelican

i wonder if someone can clear up a story that came into our office early this evening, that, ian lowe has been sacked due to his discipline on tuesday night i was told that he didnt get booked, sent off, spoken to by the referee or enter onto the pitch and that this level of discipline will not be tolerated and has been relieved of his duties and wayne manners has been reinstated with immediate effect,i wanted to run a story on what the players thought and if there will be a players revolt?
