from what i remember The Village Green is a real nice place run by a lovely english and Thai couple (dont quote me), a friend of mine couldnt stop talking about the place! he loved it! I never ate there, but from what i hear they serve a mixture of food in a great environment. The Resturant that stuck out for me was The Lakeside. The Resturant is big enough to seat your party and is situated by an ambiently lit up lake. The Thai food was gorgeous. There was another Lakeside resturant just opening when i left named Daylight bar, maybe check out these too. Both are located nr The Village Green. |

Big Mt. does have good food, but a party of 18 might throw them for a loop. I know a lot of the people that do the Yoga retreats go there a lot. Is the Village Green the place on the beach side that has the store attached? That place seemed pretty well put together as far as staff. At Big Mt. I would think, you'd have to try and talk to them at doing some kind of speacial menu for the wedding party or you will never get your food in time to eat together. You would have to create a family style dinner. George, what do you think. I've only spent 3 days in Chao Phao. |
