Help with Accomodation!!!
Hi, Me and a friend will be going to Koh Phangan for the FMP in January and need some recommandations on hotels. We're looking for something close to the beach and where all the people are. We only plan to be there for 4 or 5 nites so we need a place that does not hvae a min. of 7 nites or so. ANy help is much appreciated. THanks! |

my tip since 7 years : go to haad rin , thats where the party and the big action on this island is. but choose the sunset side beach , only 8 min by feet from the fmp beach . just drop by the resorts , there is one every 30 m and just get a room /bungalow you like. you even can check the place from home with google earth or maps.google.com . balck an white resort is qúite nice. if you prefer the party (sunrise ) beach check out paltia lodge. really like the place and only 200 seconds from the action :-)) you find rooms from 200 bath up to 40 us$ / night. if you dont come during to the fmp time , you can choose from a lot of different places. have fun bob |

Thanks Bob! My friend and I found a place called Sea Breeze Bungalows. Its apparantly about 500 metres from Haad Rin Beach on a Hill. We found it in the Lonely Planet guidebook and they recommanded it. Have you heard of it before? Also, would it be hard to get a room 3 days before the Full Moon Party? |

hi ! i know see breeze , seems to be nice place with a great view, but dont have any pesonal experience with them. but dont limit yourself to just one resort , because dozens of resorts are next to them .and all are very similar. 3 day before the fmp might be a bit close, so you might not get the best and cheapest offer. thy haev a phone number on the net, so maybr yout try to contact them habe fun bob have fun |

Hi Steph! If youre on a low budget Jonathan Bungalows is a good place to stay, say 300 Baht a night for a fan bungalow with double bed. Not new, not luxury but a nice, lush garden, and quiet but still as central as possible on Haad Rin. A quarter of a Chang to Chicken Corner which in my opinion is the centre of the world =) Most places on the FMP beach are nowadays AC bungalows but if that´s what youre looking for Tommy Resort is a great place with superb staff and they might still have fan bungalows, a litle extra but then you´ll wake up with scenery over the overall best beach... Enjoy!!!! Kalle |
