Below is a message from someone who needs our help! I am urging all members of TCSP to help out these kids. It’s our duty as parents to not only look out for our own children, but to help other children whenever we can. What if it was your child in this situation?
Linda’s Message:
I have a few women who would like to put together about 50 blankets for a group of orphans in Mozambique, Africa. All of these children have lost both of their parents to Aids. The children range in age, and of both genders.
At this time they are still seeing temperatures in the 40F and 50F's at night, but there is not enough blankets for everyone.
I am searching for fleece for these women to use to make these blankets. Fleece is warm and cozy, yet light weight so it would be easy to ship.
We are asking if anyone happens to have any fleece that they no longer want.
We are in the process of learning what it would take to ship these down at this time, and we are not sure just when they would be sent, but I would hope with in the next week or so.
Just as a side note, we are going to wrap these blankets up around a new stuffed animal, like we do at the Thrift Store, with a ribbon.
Please contact Laura at l_krahn@yahoo. com and she can arrange pick up with you, or I can take any fleece at New Beginnings Thrift Store. I work 9am to 5pm Tuesday through Friday and 8am to 4pm on Saturday.
