Do you still support ScrollQuest?

Hi! I am a huge fan and was looking around the interent at things besides traditional anime you have done. I found ScrollQuest, but it seems they are ripping people off? There seem to be many angry people at them and I just wondered before I looked into it further I should ask you if they are legit?

Thanks!

Re: Do you still support ScrollQuest?

This message peaked my interest.

What's going on with ScrollQuest? How, exactly, do they seem to be ripping people off?

Re: Do you still support ScrollQuest?

well i can easily answer that ...i am the finder of the coin for the guardians amulet which was found over a year ago ! i have not been paid that amulet nor has my team of finders...we havent had any contact with them...yet they are tryin to come back and still sell SQ tshirts, products,etc...

although amazon will not host them anymore, pay pal and ebay has cancelled jason king's accounts do to fraud...meaning he was selling psp's on ebay...got the money..never sent the product nor did he return any money...

also hosted contests and the like on tweleve.org and sold products, got the money...didnt send product nor refund monies..this is alot of people we are talking about here...

they are no longer in pirates magazine due to their lack of business "ethics"

they are also listed very bad on the BBB

shall i go on..i do have more info but check out tweleve.org under NOT RECOMMENDED HUNTS

Re: Do you still support ScrollQuest?

Hey James and Folks here!

Steve Bennett here finally after traveling for a few months.
Greetings to you all here.

I honestly have no idea what is going on either at all with Scrollquest currently.
I am indeed frankly quite concerned about what I am seeing for the first time ( I had super limited access to internet while abroad, and do not posess any laptop computers or high tech phone gadgets! )
here from you all posted on my very own website here.

I must let you all know that I am in no ways have ever been involved with Scrollquest except as an artist and an occasional convention "Face" person.
I am in no way or have ever been involved in any corporate operations as my involvement/communication with Scrollquest has been very minimal as well.

I was brought on by Scrollquest two years ago as a "Contributing Artist" to do the "Idol Of Xi" character designs and do the webcomic art wich has been on hiatus for quite sometime as we all know now.I was never aware of anything concerning the company outside my own working relationship and that of my other fellow artists with them so far untill now.

I literally am only an artist that was brought on along with others to create art for Scrollquest only.
I ofcourse am not too happy to hear these things about them concerning you all.

I'm sorry I can't help you all out here further very much, but I'll try to do what I can though.

Holli,

I remember you are the nice lady that was with a group of ladies that won the contest two years ago at Akon and brought us your awesome homecooking to enjoy!
I am astonished to hear your not so great news here.
Please rest assured I had no idea about any of this happening with you and your friends.

I sincerely hope that Scrollquest will get back on track properly soon and adddress all your concerns properly of course.

Yours sincerely,

Steve Bennett

Re: Do you still support ScrollQuest?

Addendum:

A: Just to be very clear about this,
I am not affiliated with Scrollquest as part of the company.
I am a contracted artist and have no knowledge of their corporate issues.

B:
I have not worked with them actively since the Scrollquest web closed down quite awhile ago.
I am not an active part of this relaunch.

C:
Untill Scrollquest remedies it's issues properly, we will be removing all links here to them

D:
James, your e-mail address is not working properly for me.

Re: Do you still support ScrollQuest?

I was hired to sculpt the statue based on Steve's Itzli design that they gave away 2 A-kon's back. They promised to pay me $800 and all the way until the next A-kon I first got stories that they sent the check standard mail and it must have gotten lost - twice! After a while they stopped responding to my emails and I got tired of sending emails that I knew no one would even answer. I got $300 out of Jason at the next A-kon and he swore he would pay the difference plus interest of 10% by paypal within the following week. I never got it. I emailed him a couple of times and got no answer. I called the "personal cell phone" number he gave me to find out it was bogus.

If you do any work for these guys, get paid IN FULL and IN ADVANCE.

Re: Do you still support ScrollQuest?

sorry to hear that max...i found out about them being at the a-kon a lil too late...i certainly wouldve attempted to get to you and give you the info on them prior ~ feel free to msg me anytime with any new news you might here of...

that whole mail registered yada yada blah blah is something he attempted to do many of the members of tweleve and used that as his scapegoat when he tried to get the editor of pirates magazine to believe that we all lied...but hey thats what were dealing with here..sigh*...

i hope you do recover your monies for your services..i did catch a glimpse at that statue online after...interesting..very interesting.. :)

Re: Do you still support ScrollQuest?

Just wanted to say I enjoyed your artwork very much. I too was a victim of Scroll Quest. They promised several things and never delivered. I did win a silver coin and did receive it: after sending several emails and then finally getting a call from Jason. I purchased all scrolls; finally received them after a long delay. I also purchased the "card" games and it took a long time to receive them as well. It is a shame that the Winners of the Guardians Amulet never received their prize. It seems to me that maybe a class action suit may be a step we could take. I am not a lawyer, but it may be worth looking into. I would like to view more of your artwork and would appreciate any links you could send me. Thanks

Merry Christmas to everyone here, back home finally!!

Merry Christmas to everyone here, back home finally!!

Hello Terry, Holly, and everyone.
Hope the holidays have been good to you all so far and of course Merry Christmas and Happy New year soon to you all and yourn.
Feels good to be off the road and back home now.
I have so missed using my own computer and internet.
As you all can tell, the web page is still somewhat behind in updates in general.
I am working on getting new art up as soon as possible. (So Terry, please keep your eyes peeled here for them! )
Nikki of course is very busy in general but she will have revisons to the site done soon.
I have no idea what is up with Scrollquest still.
I can not comment for them either way however I do hope the best for all concerned of course.
Happy Holidays!

Steve,

Scroll Quest is still listed on your site under "projects." When are you going to take it down?
