Xabungle!

Hey, Steve, it's Number 2 from Anime South. I and my two cohorts had the pleasure of your "Cell Painting Panel" and Web comic panels on Sunday. But I'm not here to reminisce about the good old days (last week), so let's get down to brass tacks.

Jason (darkish Jesus looking fellow) and I, never one's to pass up a good mech, struck out across the untamed planes of Interweb in search of that most elusive torrent: Xabungle. After several fruitless hours of scouring every site we formulate out of the words "torrent", "iso", and "find", as well as reams of forum posts echoing "Why can't I find a Xabungle torrent?", we had an epiphany. If the man who is practically responsible for anime in the US is having trouble tracking it down, then we're probably boned.

Then we remembered you saying that you had the Raven's water bottle dilemma. All the Xabungle you could want was right there at your fingertips, you just couldn't get it.

And so, here we are, brains boiled, fingers coiled, and still no old school mech action. We have a proposition for you:

Steve, if we were to procure you a Betamax machine, would to be able to rescue this slice of anime history pie from the rotating glass case of No Licensing that rests on the counter of Stagnation in the Diner of Old School Sweetness.

Cause that would be...ya' know...totally sweet.

Re: Xabungle!

Hell yeah!

Kiel (number 2) and I will be hitting the interwebs in the near future in search of a betamax machine. We've all ready found some great deals on Ebay, and hope to procure one sometime soon.

Thank you Steve, for helping us rescue this mech classic from the sands of time.

Re: Xabungle!

Hiya Jason,

Try your local libraries for that beta system, most have systems you can check out or rent real cheap.
Sometimes you have to put in a order for one but most of bigger ones can get them for you.
It's worth a try!!!!

Re: Xabungle!

Boys,

I have over 200+ Beta Tapes chock full of Anime, Drama shows, Ero-eigas, Samurai Shows, Sentai Shows, and even Kabuki plays among many others that have not seen tyhe light of day in over 20 years now hehehehe!
All we will need is a good Beta machine and a good Dvd recorder machine to get them transefered.
So much stuff, I don't even recall what is all there now.

Re: Xabungle!

Awesome news! Our friend Shaggy (he was the third guy that was with us at your "panel") found a fan-sub of the first six episodes of Xabungle. If you want us to send you a copy just give us your mailing address. If you don't want to post it here, you can send it to my email address Zetsubou.J@gmail.com.

We haven't gotten the Betamax player yet (mostly because we're lazy and unorganized) but we should have one in about a month. Hopefully the fan-subs will hold you down 'til we get the player.

I just read Kirby's post about the next Anime South, I hope you'll be there!
