It's A Boy!!
Been a busy several months for me and Nikki as well as well. So much has happend and all good. Just got back from Ravencon and had a blast there with friends new and old! Family is doing fine and "The Lost Kingdom" and "AOST" are getting very super popular. Nikki and I have been both very sleep deprived the last few weeks while on constant "Baby Horse Watch" with our pregnant mare Sassy. Needless to say, watching the birth finally on Friday just right before going to Monaccan Highschool for a speacial Student outreach program was exciting hehehehe! "Disco Stu" was born at 3:15 a.m. this morning. He is healthy, very energetic, and Mom is doing ok. He's a BIG boy! I think he's going to be bay and white (he's a pinto) but it was too dark to really tell if he was bay or possibly gray. (I hope he stays bay, his color is beautiful!) He has a big star and stripe on his head, his coloring and pattern is absolutely gorgeous. He was up walking in an hour and nursing in two. Luckily, Steve and I both spent the night in the barn last night, we figured she'd have it because she started waxing up at around 8:00 last night. So she had it on the exact day the vet said she would--April 25th, and we didn't miss a bit of it. I've attached some pictures, hope they come through ok.
