Message:   "someone needs to tell me the difference between these two
land use issues. One company tries to play the game according
to the rules i.e., applies for a special use review and gets turned
down. The other company just marches in and basically
announces that it is doing this upgrade and gets the green
light without any administrative process."

I agree being likewise unenlightened. As I commented above, I wonder what laws and regulations are in effect here? The current membership of the BOCC Actin Group is not large enough to research all things that come up. Is there any inspired citizen out there able to help with this one?

"There was supposed to be a Public Comment
period (which may have been published in the Ranchland News)
but since no "public" was present (apart from myself)
there was no input. "

If the public is not going to represent it's own interest then they will just get additional fees* without knowing what happened to them. Blind sided one might say. My guess is that almost no one in that proposed Brittanie Ridge Metropolitan District knows they are in it or what a metro district is. Does anyone know if this is one of those Metro Districts to be managed by the famed Mr. Wells and company? How does one find this information?

* "The cost of this plant will be
paid by assessing each residence a $15,000 tap fee. To
operate and maintain the plant it is planned to impose a
10 mill, capped, property tax fee. There will be no
financial impact to the county according to the Plan."

Perhaps no financial impact to the County budget, but certainly an impact to the budgets of the members of the proposed Brittanie Ridge Metropolitan District. That is not to say it is not a good thing or otherwise, but who knows?

Respectfully Submitted,
Jerry Suchan
