Ok. It is getting a little out of hand. First of all the women are NOT going to sing with the men at The Correll on Saturday night during dinner on a Cursillo weekend. Men Make it happen! It will ALWAYS be the MEN on Saturday. What the Secretariat has voted is to let the women sit with their husbands and sing with them during a Saturday mass when the Cursillo Choir sings at other churches. Back in 2000-2001 Fr Tex had a special meeting to discuss things about Cursillo. After listening to a few of us women he decided to let the women sing with their husbands when the Cursillo visited a church on Saturday and it would still be called The Men's Cursillo Choir. When the women went to sit with their husbands, there were a few men that made it very difficult and uncomfortable for the women so we never sat with our husbands even after Tex said we could. MEN.......GROW UP!We are not back in the 60's anymore. You do most of everything during a cursillo weekend and the only time a woman can participate is if they were on the team. We women don't want to cook, we don't want to serve, we don't want to saranade Saturday evening during dinner. That is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen and heard is to see all the men singing and serving the women for the weekend. All we want to do is sit with our husbands at mass on a Saturday evening. Is that so hard to understand! Sorry Jeff but Fr. Tex did make changes....but that was before your time with Cursillo.
