1. For Lou Nordin to have the foresight and to take on the leadership of getting a float in the Perry 200 parade - what a task/what a success!
2. For all of those who helped make it happen through donations of time and materials.
3. For all who showed up to represent Cursillo in the parade.
4. For all who cheered us on from the crowd.
5. For the beautiful parade weather.
From the response of the crowd, the Cursillo float was very well received - and not just from fellow Cursillistas! At one point as we headed down 12th Street, there was a group of people who gave us a standing ovation (NOT Cursillistas!!)
We also had someone approach us who is interested in becoming a part of this great movement.
The greatest statement was near the end of the parade, a little boy sitting on the side of State St. pointed at the cross on the float and said, "LOOK, MOM, THEY HAVE JESUS!"
Let us not ever forget for one moment - WE HAVE JESUS!!
