I told my husband I wanted a divorce and he called 911 and told them I was "trying to kill him"...he had me arrested and took out an order of protection. 2 hours later, he posted all of MY possessions and our "household items/furniture" on craigslist (Moving sale)...none of his things being sold. He did this to keep me away so he could liquidate MY belongings. I have no money...no wallet...no purse...the sheriff said unless he is able to reach my husband to set up a time (for a civil standby allowing me 15 minutes in the house, as I am the abuser, he is the "victim") I can't go...he will not return the call. Continues to sell everything. I am essentially homeless and destitute and I have been able to get no help. What can be done. Located in Arizona.

Gosh, I don't know. Call a hospital and speak with a social worker; someone should be able to help you. I am so sorry. Call a women's shelter, a church.....keep calling anyone you can think of. This is insane, what proof did the cops have t arrest you?!

My ex husband of 2 weeks took out a protective order on me and I couldtn have any communication with him or my two little girls for 30 days until our court date. It specifically states in the TPO that neither party can sell get rid of or damage any items within the home , you cant even cut off utilities or cancel health or life insurance. He is in contempt of the Protective order and I would seek counsil to assist you with that. Im so sorry your going through this my ex put an order on me just bc i asked for a divorce. when we went to court today I consented to keep the TPO in place for one year on him so that I didnt have to communicate with him in any way shape or form for one year, but i still get to see my girls.
