My husband filed divorce a year ago and it devastated me. Its still not finalized and just before I thought it was to be done he claimed he called his attorney to change it to legal separation. I never received anything and here we are...my whole life is a mess and not only in shock but to go all this last year and he and I getting along in fact I was over with our son more in the last year than when we were married living together...but out of the blue hes very cold disrespectful name calling insulting and pretty much treating me as a stranger. after * years together I am sad to see the man I love treat me so cold. We started out friends before we married and now never felt farthest away and shunned. He says he wants us a family then totally does opposite. who can finalize a divorce if he started. help...

I hope you are taking care of you .. it is shocking to realize the person you were with for so many years has become a perfect stranger. Please find a divorce care group in your area, if you can get counseling do it .. you need lots of support right now. You do NOT have to make any decisions today about anything outside of getting yourself well. Your STBX is going to say anything and everything to get you to make a knee jerk reaction if you can't afford an atty look into legal aide just because you need to know what your rights are .. he can't "make" you do anything .. big hugs ..
