Dear Barbara, it sounds like at some point that he was looking up divorce attorneys. Does it mean he has contacted one? Can't tell.
However, since you may be dumped in the middle of it all it might be time for you to talk to one -- just to hear their initial advice. Much of which is you knowing things -- finances, copies of tax returns, bank statements, IRA, pensions, etc. It's better to gather up all that type of information now JUST IN CASE than be scrambling for it later (it might disappear).
The marriage counselor is a good idea too, hopefully he'll go with you and good things will happen. However, you really need to start preparing for the other as well.
