My friend is not married and is about to have a baby. And we cant find a for sure answer if she has to put the father of the baby on the birth certificate to get child support from him?

I think she should list the father. It should make collecting child support much easier. And I don't think it would be fair to the child to not know it when growing up.
If she's unsure who the father is, she should seek paternity testing to find out. That might require court action.
