Separated and Taxes

My estranged husband wants to claim my younger two children on his taxes. We are filing married but separate. However, I have been paying for my younger children's needs (as I am back in college) primarily out of my college loans. I am concerned that if he uses them on his taxes to help lower his owed that this will negatively impact me in our divorce proceedings. Does anyone know if this is the case?

Re: Separated and Taxes

Kelly: My Lawyer told me to have my husband claim our daughter on his tax return. He had a higher income and she was a full time college student. We were separated at the time. I imagine every case is different. I would recommend getting a Family Lawyer. They are best when kids are concerned, even college kids.
