i just got divorced a year ago. i am making half the car payment and right now i am not able to work to pay for it. can i do something about it to stop making the payments....i got the house and mortgage is still in my exes name but i make all those payments...what do i do...i did talk to a lawyer and she said i had to fill out some type of paper work to stop paying it due to my income...the reason i had two brain surgeries and not able to work....please advice..all i could afford is the mortgage and other bills in the house and if i pay the car payment then i cut myself short paying mortgage and other bills due to his car is coming first
