I'm not sure if this is a state to state deal or if it covers all states but if you have been married at least 10 years,you are entitled to a part of your ex-husband's social security. I found this out on my own but you would think this is something your lawyer would share with you. I should have found the link before posting this but I will as soon as I can. There are stipulations as there are with anything of course but it's good info to have.
