Hi. Me and my husband were separated for a year now. i moved out of state and just a month ago he filed for a divorce.The marshall came to our apartment gave the papers to my roomate who happens to moved two days later.He forgot to give me the said summon and i just found out that the marshall didn't fill out that back portion of the paper that says i was served. I called hes lawyer and they said that i have to sign the back saying that i got the papers and send it back to them. Now my question is is it true that i should send the papers to my husbands lawyers office and not to the clerk of court? Thank you.
