just found out my ex husband is talking to someone for the first time since we split. I don't know why it hurts but it does. I left him thinking he would miss me and try to right all the wrong things he did but he didn't. I didn't want to be right that he didn't value me but I was unfortunately. I just wish I didn't think about all the years (23) everytime I see him. How much time has to go by for these feelings to fade, hurt despair?

For me it was when the alimony and child support checks started coming in. All the pain and loneliness went away. It's great to be a women. Don't know how men survive divorce when they have to turn over so much of their paychecks on top of no longer having a relationship.

Patricia: Sorry about this. It takes time to heal after a divorce, two years is the average. My Lawyer told me not to pay attention to my ex's personal life. I think that was good advice.
