I started today on the tip of timber with 1 nice 23" laker along with a fish & game rep 20 min into the jigging he was cool to deal with along with some good conversation. Moved to the tip of mark island and pulled up a laker around 19 to 20 inch .... Good deal and feeling good. Ended up going to dollar island with no results and tried 3 different spots... NADA.. Moved to middle ground shoal and bingo... 3-jigs and a nice healthy 20" laker come thru the ice Yahoo!! 15 min later the same deal and same size...fun fun!! wind pulled me off the lake around 4:00 We are 23" away from ice out......YIKES...

hey charlie seems like you had a great day , was it tough getting out their? I was wondering if you are going to fish before the gathering if so let me know . did you get your house off the ice ? are you gonna fish on april 1st ? hopefully their will be some open water to fish. how deep were you fishing? "reel it in"

I used my sled to get around ATV would be a pain untill the snow depth drops. I ended up dragging the house off Friday afternnon before the snow. I dont think I will be on the water if there is any on April 1st. What time are you going to be at the gathering?? Depth for jigging was 25 to 36 Ft No fish after that depth or at least not where I was fishing.
