I posted a little while ago asking about crabbing in NH. Can you catch red crabs from the shore or from a bridge or aomething?? Or do you have to go all the way out to super deep water.
Also, can anyone suggest a place to catch searun trout in NH. I have heard of the Mousam in maine, but dont want to go so far.
Berry's brook in Rye. Check the regs before you go: there is a closed season. A friend took a 4.5 lbs salter out of there several years back, although that was in October.
"Red Crabs: any person may take 12 crabs daily by angling, diving, or by hand without a license. A license is required to take more than 12, or by a trap."
My suggestion (and I've never tried this) would be to go along the coast anywhere it's rocky or weedy, and toss out some bait in a mesh bag and slowly pull it in every 10-15 minutes. I'd use a potato sack or an orange sack, tie on about 10-20ft of thin rope, and throw in any kind of bait you have. Maybe have some waders and a hand net ready. Set up 2,3 or 10 and let us know how it goes. No help on the sea run browns, sorry. Good luck.
