As I drove to work this morning in all of the snow, the beauty of the snow on the trees and the way the new snow made everything look clean and new, I was reminded of Father John Fischer's explanation of the colors that are used in the Catholic Church. When he explains the vestment colors, and baptismal and wedding gown color, he says the white stands - not for purity, but for goodness. We certainly have had our share of goodness this winter! Even so, it truly is beautiful out there today.
