At 3 o'clock this afternoon after doing some household chores all day, we needed a break so Denise decided to take a cat-nap. I made a cup of coffee and logged on to FB. Mike Brown's benefit event popped up! I felt as if I was being "Called" to go to the event. I showered and drove cross-country to Albion. Saw two flocks of turkey - one with a huge strutting Tom. This fact alone would have "made my day!" but it only got better.

I drove around the parking lot at St. Lawrence's about two times and finally a space opened up. I went into the facility and paid my "voluntary" admission fee and then stepped into the hall. Certain words came to mind - WHOA!! WOW!! Freakn' AWESOME, OMG, Christian Community in Action, Piety, Action - the list goes on and on. I was over-whelmed by the auction and raffle items, the generosity of the people there, the number of people in attendance, the food and did I mention the DESSERTS and most of all - the Love that could be felt by just being there.

I had to leave to get back to St. Hippolyte's for the Crawford County Holy Hour. We prayed for the Erie Cursillo movement, this weekend and the team and the babe chicks. We also said prayers of Thanksgiving for everyone involved with Mike's benefit. I was Blessed by just going to the benefit and then felt the Grace of God at the Holy Hour. With so many bad things happening in our world, I know there is a Loving God looking out for us! - Bob Schoenfeldt
