It's with great sadness that I have to share that my dear uncle, Jerry Major, passed away this afternoon at UPMC Hamot.
I'm sure sure which was his first, but he made Cursillo over 15 years ago, and worked many since then bringing joy, laughter and food to many babe chicks.
For the past few years he has been confined to a wheelchair and has been in and out of the hospital over the last year struggling with aspiration pneumonia. This time he was not able to recover - and God chose to take him home to care for him there.
Please say an extra prayer this weekend for his soul, and for his brothers. The viewing will likely be Sunday evening with a Monday funeral - but watch for more details.
Well, this is sad news. Rest assured that we will keep Jerry in our prayers this weekend, as well as the rest of the family. May God's peace be with each of you during this time.
