Re: A "Public House" test of memory

In "A History of Ruislip" written by Laurence E. Morris and published by the Ruislip Residents' Society in 1956, there is a photo of 'the old George Hotel' which shows it to be on the opposite side of the street to where the new one was built. It is next to a butcher's shop, according to the Middlesex Pub History directory. This could be the pub near the church. The photo is noted as being in the Ruislip Library Collection.
