Kevin O'Flanagan born 1919 Dublin. Ireland. Died 2006.
Was a Doctor practicing in Ruislip. 1945. Played football for the Arsenal 1945-1947. Kept amateur status. Played Rugby for various clubs. Team Doctor for the 1948 Olympics.
A heavyweight boxer billed out of Shepherd's Bush was Jack Hobbs. Friend told me indignantly that it was to promote him at Limegrove Baths, Shepherd's Bush. Said he was from Ruislip. Saw his last fight in 1954, losing in a final eliminator for the British Heavyweight Championship.
