I went last year and it was good fun but there were so many aircraft lights in the sky it was hard to be sure what one was looking at.
The glow of the skies around London is always there, sadly. You need to go into the country to improve on the Lido view.
I bought a small scope last year and would love to have a decent one but the skies are just too bright to make it worthwhile.
