Main runway at Northolt is 1,701 yards appx, I think they need to find another 800 yards to make it viable....and that is quite a lot!!
However, re-align it from its present position rear West End Road and in a straight line over common land to Hllingdon Station and you get 2850 and that is longer than Beauvais near Paris and they get big planes in there.
It could be done.....
