The reason given by Veolia Water for not lifting the ban is that their supplies come from groundwater and not surface water (rivers, resevoirs). Not sure this is true for Ruislip (or the other London Boroughs that get their supply from Veolia rather than Thames Water). I've registered a complaint with them and the Consumer Council for Water. Do others feel the same? It's not just gardeners but the local garden centres who are disadvantaged by this ban.
