I remember the Old Swan pub well. It was right across the High Street from the entrance to St. Martins and was a favorite watering hole of the Verger for many years. One of my friends was getting married at St. Martins and as guests arrived the church was closed. Somebody went across the street and lo and behold there was Casemor the Verger. nvny
