It is interesting to note that Nat West have not said exactly what went wrong, blaming a "Computer Problem", well I have not seen anything if they have.
Well this is what happened.....
Somebody at Royal Bank Of Scotland deleted an auto-scheduling database that deals with processing all of the main-frame jobs.
(If you are a computer whizz you will know this is not good...a mate of mine who dealt with the computer merger of LloydsTSB and HBOS last September summed it up in one word....ouch)
Now I have no idea who, what or why, but this is what happened.
I used to work for Nat West.....wish I had thought of it
