The wife and I were caught up in that yesterday,our train had just pulled out of the Uxbridge station when it stopped,this was just after we heard a very loud thunder clap preceded by lightning, the driver then announced that he had some bad news,the lightning had knocked out something in or around Hillingdon station and that we would not be able to procede in less than an hour,as it turned out it was just less,we then moved very slowly until we reached Hillingdon,it continued at the slow speed until we reached Ickenham,after that is resumed its usual speed,well done the driver he kept us informed all of the time.
