I can't see why everyone seems to be getting so worked up about the West Mead traffic lights.

I travel through that junction at least twice a day and it has never bothered me in the slightest.

The far bigger problem, especially in the morning rush hour, is the available road width on the Manor side of the junction after vehicles have parked on both sides of the road (as they are perfectly entitled to do). Victoria Road, at that point anyway, just isn't wide enough for the combination of buses and HGVs heading in both directions.
