I have to say that the aircraft now days are much quieter than they used to be.I don't think you will find aircraft noise an issue. Most of the time they are landing westerly so with the low power settings you can hardly hear them. On average you only get one movement every 20/30 mins or so. As for the area, you could do a lot worse, it's certainly better than most areas south of the A40 and is relatively quite and crime free.
