Been out about 10 times on the lake with fishing being really slow. Have been marking alot of bait fish with alot of fish following. So far have managed only 6 lakers and 2 bows all around 17-19". Most fish are being caught with 5 colors of leadcore or 350 ft on the steel line. Have had alot of quick strikes but not landing them. Glad to see that there is finally bait fish around (hopefully this means the northerns are gone!!). The rainbow's seem to be gathered next to the sandbar starting in the no wake to the first part where the railroad tracks are. Lakers have been spread out. Belmont beach and to the right of pot island have been loaded with bait fish in the 50-80 ft range of water. Red Grey Ghost Winni Smelt, and Orange and silver top gun seem to be the winners. Havnt seen many people out here fishing (dunno if there scared of the northerns or not) but it seems like the baitfish are alot more plentiful then last year. Will be out this wednesday all day hopefully finding a salmon (havnt found one since 08!)
