Champ Trip

We fished Lake Champlain Saturday and Sunday. Saturday we caught 5 salmon 2 browns and then stopped fishing for them. The salmon and browns were not surviving the hot water. The lake water was 71.5 in the am and then 75 in the afternoon. We swithched to lake trout fishing. Saturdays biggest was 8.6 lbs. Sunday monrning we did not attempt to catch any salmon and went right to laker fishing. From 6-8 we were doing good and at 8am the big fish started to hit. This is hard to believe but this is what happened. From 8 to 11am all fish that came in the boat were over 10 lbs. We ended up with 15 lake trout over 10 lbs. Four fish were over 12 lbs. The two biggest fish we weighed in for the all season tournament. Lena's was 13.21 lbs 32" and mine was 14.75 lbs 32". By noon we were ready to get off and fish were still biting. We ended up with 30 fish in the boat and missed more than that. What a incredible day, pictures to come. Good luck if you go out.

Sounds to me that you're Champing-at-the-bit Cal, not chomping.

Re: Champ Trip

John I wasn't trying to correct the spelling, I was trying to make a funny out of it. Champing (as in Champlain).
I wouldn't try to correct spelling on this board. It would be a full time job. :>)

Ha,ha,ha. I hear ya, I misspelled my name (I always do but usually fix it) left it wrong and thought you would be all over it, I’m kinda disappointed in you.

John,
I'm so use to your misspelling, I didn't even notice. :>)

Re: Champ Trip

I,m so slow at pushing the letter keys anyhow that it doesn,t take any longer to look up words in the dictionary as I go! Like I,ve said before; I,m only half-fast.

Re: Champ Trip

Ha,ha,ha your a good man Cal Preston.

Sometimes I write a post (if a long one) in "word" first, use the spell check then copy and paste it to the message board. Did that allot when the message board was finiky and kicked you off half way through composing a post, been allot better lately however.
