Wishing everyone a Happy New Year and a safe hard water season.I have tommorow off and will be getting ready for some hard water fishing on saturday at Nubi.There is about 6 to 7 inches of ice on the Nelson end.We will see if it will live up to its reputation of no fish nubi.Just think 3 months left till 4/1/11.Can not wait!!!! Be a nice day for ice fishing tomorrow I guess, but I'm waiting for a nice 70 degree Sunday afternon, "in the middle of the week", to do my ice fishing.
Fished Nubi 1-1-11 with B-man the GF and the Bro. Got the GF set up with her new jig stick and while she was adjusting her seat and me being the nice guy I am holding her rod I happen to come up with a 18" laker. Nice way to start the year as she kept up the jiggiing and lost 2 other fish. 20 FOW with Berkley Gulp smelt and a 3/8 ounce jig doing the trick. Had several other flags and managed a 24" laker on a tip up at the end of the day.
