Handling
Have a plan on how to handle the fish before
it’s boated to minimize handling time.

• Never touch the gills as this causes damage
and impairs the fish’s ability to breath.

I have noticed alot of photos posted where the fisherman has his hands in the gills of salmon, lakers or rainbow trout. Please stop this practice unless you are going to kill the fish and keep it towards your daily limit.
