What's the best knot to tie a lure onto braided line, or are you supposed to use a mono leader?

I am not the most qualified to answer this, but I would not tie a lure to braided line. If you are going to troll with braid,I would put mono after the braid, then a fluro leader attached to the mono with a swivel. Braid is an excellent line for jigging and other applications, but it has no give, (one of the advantages of braid). I would think you would want mono plus fluro behind braid for a shock absorber & stealth. An excellent knot for tying braid to mono is the "stren knot"! Pretty easy to tie, if you can tie a clinch and uni knot!
