Heading north to flyfish some of the brooks solo very early tomorrow and want to eventually hit the Winni River. Never been there. Can anyone tell me a good access point?? Thanks..... Joe
There maybe better access and depends on where on the river you want to fish, but you can put in at Silver Lake (below Winnisquam) also I'm not sure if it is the same river, but it runs out of Winnisquam and dumps into the Silver lake I mentioned.
Clincher is not sure if there is too much ice to put in at either lake.
Joe, Any where near the mouth in Laconia. By Martels Bait Shop, or at the new launch just below the Fair St bridge. You can even fish right in the downtown area. You could also try below the Lakeport dam, where it flows into Lake Opeeche. Or just above the Messer St bridge.
