Thanks for the info. Earl been looking for that site all night.
G2 Balls, are a great fishing tool when the fish go down a bit, say 15 to 20 feet (or deeper) we had the set up perfected so that they were deadly last fall. We run 2 to 3 colors off them and run the ball down 5 to 15 feet, depending on where we want our bait. If we want bait at 20 feet, run 2 colors and ball 10 feet down. Have to use "in-line lead" set ups, clip onto the mono just past the lead, use 30 to 50 feet of main line and leader, no cf's and deadly and you wont loose your ball unless you beach the boat, ha,ha.
Paul has a new drag/release that may allow you to run straight mono now too, last year we needed a little lead core for the correct drag.. We prefer the lead core action ad a bonus however.
For those that don't know what an "in-line" set up is. Set up with leader and 50 feet or so of mono, then 2 or 3 colors of lead and then back to mono, etc. Use small (tiny) barrel swivels at each point where you change from leader to mono, mono to lead and back to mono again. We have all our rods set up with 2,3 or 4 color sets up, no need for any more than 4 colors, we have a few 1 color set ups, but seldom catch any fish with them ????????????
